FAQ: What makes Extravelism different from a regular tour agency?

Every tour is co-designed and led by a domain expert — an economist, wine critic, DJ, journalist or artist — who joins travellers for in-depth dialogue and exclusive access unavailable on ordinary tours. Group sizes are small (8–20 pax).

FAQ: Who operates the tours legally?

Tours operate under Go Asia Plus Travel & Tours Co. Limited, TIAD Licence No. 354367, a member of the Federation of Hong Kong & Kowloon Travel Agents (FHCTA). Office at 6/F, China Paint Building, 1163 Canton Road, Mong Kok.

FAQ: Do the tour prices include flights?

It depends on the tour. Bhutan tours include the Bangkok–Paro flight (but not HK–Bangkok). The New Zealand and Andalusia motorcycle tours include HK return airfare. Most Japan, Italy, UK and Taiwan tours require you to arrange your own flights; Extravelism can assist on request.

FAQ: Is travel insurance required?

Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all tours before departure. Extravelism can assist with purchase. Without valid proof of insurance, enrolment may be refused.

FAQ: What is the group size?

Varies by tour — typically 8 to 20 pax. The Kansai art tour caps at 8; Bhutan tours cap at 15; most others at 20. If enrolments fall below 15 for Bhutan tours, Extravelism may cancel or not assign a licensed leader.

FAQ: Can I book a single room?

All tours are priced for twin-share (two guests per room). Single supplement fees apply: HKD 1,500–7,000 depending on the tour, or USD 50 per night for the Bhutan 6-day tour. Odd-number groups can request triple rooms (subject to availability).

FAQ: What is the cancellation policy?

If the tour is cancelled due to unavoidable reasons (war, natural disaster, epidemic, etc.), a handling fee of HKD 1,000 per person is charged plus any non-refundable airline/ticket fees. If you abandon mid-tour, no refund is issued for unused portions.

FAQ: Are there child prices?

No child pricing is offered; the terms state 本團不設小童收費 (no child rate for this group).

FAQ: What language are tours conducted in?

Tours are primarily in Cantonese (with some Mandarin/English elements). Local overseas guides may speak Mandarin or English only, without translation.

文化沙龍 is an irregular cultural lecture/event series featuring star guest experts — past events include MC 仁's sound frequency and singing-bowl experience and Italian wine-tasting nights. Check the website for upcoming events.
