FAQ: What age groups do you cater to?

Cobo Academy serves children from age 4 upward. Age bands: Intern (4–5), Junior (6–8), Senior (9–11), Principal (12–14), and Fellow (15+).

FAQ: Where is Cobo Academy located?

The flagship campus is at 6/F, Yam Tze Commercial Building, 23 Thomson Road, Wan Chai — a 4-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR Exit B1. A second campus runs at the HKPC Building (1/F, 78 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon Tong).

FAQ: How much does a regular course cost?

For Fall 2026 (Half-term B), courses are priced at HK$5,670 per half-term (6–7 lessons, 9–10.5 hours). Some courses carry an additional material fee (e.g., HK$400 for MakeCode Arcade gaming console). Full-term sign-up gets a discounted rate.

FAQ: Are there any discounts available?

Yes: an Early-bird discount of 10% applies for sign-up before Aug 31, 2026. A Buddy discount of 10% applies when signing up with a friend. Both discounts can be combined.

FAQ: What is the class size?

Classes typically run at a 4:1 to 8:1 student-to-teacher ratio. Private 1:1 sessions with personalized planning are also available.

FAQ: What coding languages and tools do you teach?

Block-based coding (Scratch, ScratchJr, MakeCode), Python, Java, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Roblox Lua, as well as robotics with LEGO WeDo 2.0, LEGO SPIKE Prime, VEX IQ and Codey Rocky.

FAQ: Do you offer holiday camps?

Yes. Cobo runs Winter, Summer and Chinese New Year coding camps as day camps. Winter Camps 2026 are currently enrolling.

FAQ: Can my child try a class before committing?

Yes, trial classes and workshops are available at the Wan Chai flagship on both weekdays and weekends. Contact the school to book.

Yes, Cobo Academy offers online classes in addition to in-person sessions.

FAQ: Does Cobo Academy have any official certifications or partnerships?

Yes. Cobo Academy is an official Microsoft in Education & Minecraft Global Training Partner. They also prepare students for the AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals certification.

FAQ: What equipment does my child need to bring?

Depends on the course: most courses require a laptop (PC/Mac) or iPad with charger. Screenless courses need nothing. MakeCode Arcade requires a USB-C dongle. Check the specific course page for details.
