FAQ: What is The Rock School?

It's a 3-day holiday camp, 10am–3pm, for ages 6–16. Kids are put in a band, learn basic music theory and band dynamics, and write their own song. Each day ends with a small performance, which we record and send to families.

FAQ: When are the next Rock School camps?

Half Term Break runs 21–23 Oct. Christmas Break has two camps, 16–18 Dec and 28–30 Dec. Each is 3 days, 10am–3pm.

FAQ: How much is Rock School?

The regular price is HK$3,600. The Early Bird price is HK$3,050 if payment and registration are received 14 days before the camp starts.

The Living Room, 1/F, 90 Sun On Village, Sai Kung.

FAQ: What instruments do you teach?

Guitar, drums, piano and ukulele. We also run band training, where students learn to play together in a band.

FAQ: Do you offer private lessons? Can you come to our home?

Yes. For private one-on-one lessons we can come to your house, or you can come to The Living Room.

FAQ: How big are group classes?

Usually 4–6 students per lesson, depending on age and instrument.

FAQ: What happens in a lesson?

Each lesson is tailored to the student's level. Hourly sessions usually include ice-breaking games, skill assessment, new beats or songs, coaching and feedback. Younger students get small breaks every 15–20 minutes.

FAQ: How do I pay?

By bank transfer to HSBC, account name The Living Room Ltd., account no. 004 652-229774-001, or by cheque to 'The Living Room Ltd'. For camps, full payment is due within 24 hours of registration. Lessons are paid on or before the class.

FAQ: What is your cancellation policy for camps?

Cancelling 24 days before the camp incurs a HK$1,000 fee. Within 14 days of the camp the full fee is charged with no refund. Once a place is confirmed we don't refund fees, but we may offer up to a 50% incentive toward the next Rock Camp.

FAQ: What if I need to cancel a lesson?

Please give at least one week's notice to cancel or reschedule. Otherwise we may charge 50% or give no refund. Last-minute cancellations are accepted only for an obvious or proven health and safety concern.
