Happy Baton is Hong Kong's first online toy rental subscription service. It delivers boxes of 4 age-appropriate educational toys every 4 weeks, then swaps them for new ones. It also rents large play equipment.

FAQ: What ages does Happy Baton cater to?

Children from 0 to approximately 6 years old, across six age groups: Happy Baby (0–6m), Happy Sprout (6–12m), Happy Seedling (12–18m), Happy Sapling (18–24m), Happy Root (2–3y), Happy Tree (3+y).

FAQ: How much does a toy box subscription cost?

Archived prices on the site show HKD $605 for 1 box, $545/box for 3, $485/box for 6, $425/box for 12. These are marked as historical — contact via WhatsApp +852 5740 3560 to confirm current pricing.

FAQ: Can I choose which toys are in my box?

No. Happy Baton curates each box based on a development survey emailed at sign-up. Their team of toy experts selects toys matched to your child's age, interests and developmental stage.

FAQ: How do I get my toys? Is there a physical store?

Happy Baton is online-only. Toys are delivered to your home. Delivery days: Thursday (Kowloon & selected NT), Friday (HK Island), Saturday (New Territories). No physical shop.

FAQ: Is there a deposit?

Yes. A HKD $300 refundable deposit for toy box plans. A HKD $500 refundable deposit for equipment hire. Deposits are returned when you cancel and return all items in original condition.

FAQ: Are the toys clean and safe?

Yes. Toys are cleaned with children-safe anti-bacterial disinfectant and then steam-cleaned at 174°C using a hospital-grade Thermostar Dry Steam Cleaner. No harmful chemicals are used.

FAQ: How long can I keep the toys?

4 weeks per box. You can extend by another 4 weeks if you contact Happy Baton before the period ends.

FAQ: Can I cancel my subscription?

Monthly plan: cancel anytime with 5 working days' notice before next payment date. A HKD $100 pickup fee applies. 3-month and 12-month plans can cancel after their term ends.

FAQ: What happens if my child loves a toy and wants to keep it?

You can purchase the toy at a discounted retail price. Contact the team via WhatsApp to arrange.

FAQ: What happens if a piece is missing or a toy is damaged?

Missing pieces: approximately HKD $50 each (refunded if returned). Lost or damaged beyond repair: customer covers 50% of the replacement cost.
